New Lotus Type 66

From Dream to Reality
The resurrection of the Lotus Type 66 design and construction comes courtesy of Clive Chapman, son of Lotus founder Colin Chapman, who provided sketches and designs found in a microfilm collection. Unlike when the car was first conceptualized, the new Type 66 has gone through over 1,000 hours of development through Computational Fluid Dynamics.
Yesterdays Driving Experience Todays Safety

According to Lotus, the period-based pushrod V8 will develop 819 horsepower, deliver 550 pound-feet of torque, and propel you upwards of 190 miles per hour. The Type 66 will be constructed from a carbon-fiber tub with aluminum honeycomb body panels. Around the back, the eight protruding chrome exhaust pipes will deliver a trumpeting sound as you power off the corner.
Performance

Underneath the body, the Type 66 features electric power steering and ABS, allowing for a comfortable driving experience. Further modern touches include an anti-stall multi-plate clutch and fixed rollover bar.
Behind the wheel, the interior features a driver-centric cockpit with analog gauges and a sporty leather-wrapped steering wheel with the steering wheel located to the steering wheel. Thus, you can focus on maximizing on-track performance and getting the fastest lap time possible.
